Josep Sulé-Suso is an Associate Specialist and Senior Lecturer in Oncology at the Cancer Centre, University Hospital of North Staffordshire and Keele University in Stoke on Trent, UK. His main clinical interests are lung cancer and the development of 3D imaging models to help patients and relatives to better understand the different processes in radiotherapy planning and delivery. His research interests are the diagnosis of lung cancer using both vibrational spectroscopy and gas chromatography, and the effects of chemotherapy agents on cancer cells using FTIR.

More recently, Josep has been working on the characterisation of stem cells using FTIR. He has been involved in the development of the infrared beamline at Diamond synchrotron, as chairman of the working group.
