The UK’s Medical Research Council (MRC) have announced the availability of Clinical Academic Research Partnerships offering a new mechanism for NHS consultants with a PhD, or MD (or equivalent higher research degree), who are not currently research active, to participate in collaborative high-quality research partnerships with established leading biomedical researchers.
£12 million is available over the first two rounds of the scheme, from which it is anticipated 45-50 awards will be made on a Full Economic Costing basis.
