A postdoctoral research position is open in the interdisciplinary project RS-SRS-MED: Spontaneous and stimulated Raman scattering microscopy for sensitive and ultrafast imaging of cells upon development of life style diseases funded by the National Science Centre, Poland. The main responsibilities would be an expansion of the Raman microscope based on ultrafast lasers (coherent Raman spectroscopy) for measurements of biological samples.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in the field of physics, chemistry, engineering or related sciences
- experience in working with lasers, optics, optical microscopy
- ability to use scientific equipment and solve hardware problems
- experience in working with computer-based data acquisition and automated measurements (e.g., Matlab, LabVIEW, etc.)
- good scientific activity
- fluent English spoken and written
