Near and mid infrared spectroscopic studies of musculoskeletal tissues

Description: NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow position available in the Tissue Imaging and Spectroscopy Laboratory within the Dept. of Bioengineering at Temple University. The primary project involves development of near infrared spectroscopic techniques to assess engineered tissue growth in in vitro, and in vivo pre-clinical models. The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers and clinicians, and should possess excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.
Applicants with backgrounds in optical spectroscopy, including near and mid infrared spectroscopy and spectral imaging, or Raman spectroscopy/imaging, who have interests in biological systems, are encouraged to apply.
Requirements: Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. with experience in spectroscopy, biophysics, bioengineering, or a related field. Please submit your CV and email addresses of three referees to npleshko@temple.edu.
